Alpha began as a personal solo project.
A small theme built to meet personal needs for focused writing.
But over time, it evolved into something bigger, something that can serve other creators, and even more readers.
If you’ve used Alpha. If you found it useful, inspiring (do I dare to say?), or even just intriguing, here’s how you can support its ongoing development.
Report Bugs & Issues
Alpha has been tested for months, but no theme is flawless and the enemy of good is better.
If something doesn’t work as expected:
- Open an issue on GitHub
- Include clear steps to reproduce the bug
- Mention your Hugo version and system setup (if relevant)
Clarity helps. A minimal reproducible example helps more.
Contribute Translations
Alpha is built for words. It would be unthinkable not to support many languages.
If you’d like to help translate Alpha:
- Copy the
themes/alpha/i18n/en.toml
file. - Translate the values.
- Open a pull request.
Even partial translations are welcome. For full instructions, see the Translating Alpha guide
Suggest Improvements
Your suggestions are valuable! Feel free to share if you have:
- Feature ideas
- Content structure feedback

- Design critique or layout concerns
- Something that I can’t think of right now
Please share them through GitHub Issues or directly through my contact page.
Constructive criticism is always welcome.
